AmyJo just posted about getting her Felicity which reminded me of something. Hopefully Santa will be bringing Felicity this year to Diana. Since we all believe there we be a Felicity movie this year, I'm wondering if tourism to Williamsburg will really spike next summer. I know we'd like to go and may start making some plans for Williamsburg and outlying areas soon. DH's nephew also lives in VA so we could meet up with them too.

When one of my sons was in 7th grade, we went on a 4 day school field trip and visited Williamsburg, Gettysburg, and many other sites out that way. It was so interesting, I would love to take my daughters.

I LOVE Williamsburg!! I love how people are walking around in colonial costumes and are all like "Good day!" to you. The taverns are great and there is no electricity so there are a lot of candles everywhere. I LOVE the food! And there is entertainment. People are playing music and singing and wanting everyone to sing along. Twice I've stayed in one of the colonial houses and it was great! It's just like how Felicity would live, only it has tvs and phones and bathrooms and stuff like that. But, still, the beds are authentic and so is the furniture.
Well, I hope you have a great time if you do go!

All I can say is I hope so. I hope they reinstate the Felicity tour. I would love to take Kaitlin. Kaitlin will also be getting Felicity with matching girl dress when she is older. We hope to do a Williamsburg/Bush Gardens vacation when she is 7. I am still waiting to see Elizabeth to see if we can get her.

The four times trips we made to Williamsburg over the years were all Felicity-inspired. The first time we went I was almost 11 and we did the Felicity tour. It would be great if they do something like that again, but there's a likelihood they won't...even so, I'm sure many more little girls will be toting around Felicity and Elizabeth, and the costumed interpreters will have much to say about them! Vicky: do you mean you stayed at one of the houses in Williamsburg? I didn't know they did that? I haven't checked out anything for sure yet, but that would be fun!

Laurie, one of the Williamsburg hotels are called "Colonial Houses" and you can stay at houses on the grounds! It's a really great experience. We stayed at one of the smaller houses twice, I think it was called the Orell Kitchen. Go here: http://colonialwilliamsburg.org/visi...olonialHouses/ Some of them are a bit on the pricey side but some of them are reasonable, and they really add to the atmosphere of Williamsburg...no need to drive for a few days! Wow, thanks for that info, I'll have to bookmark it and check it all out! I really think it would be a lot of fun.
I don't imagine so, but does anyone know if Williamsburg is wheelchair friendly? I know my Mom would love to go, but it would be really hard for her with all the walking and we could maybe rent a wheelchair to take with us.
